Is hosting included with my Care Plan?
+
Yes. Managed hosting is included with eligible WordPress and WooCommerce Care Plans. There is no separate standard hosting charge for the hosting included with the plan — it is part of the care we provide.
Why does Rescue 404 include managed hosting?
+
Because Care needs enough control to troubleshoot, restore, and maintain the site properly. When WordPress and hosting sit in different companies, problems bounce between vendors. With hosting included, we can check the application and the server together, run reliable backups and staging, and you send one ticket instead of guessing who owns the failure.
Do I need to move my WordPress website?
+
Normally, yes. WordPress and WooCommerce websites on eligible Care Plans are hosted within our managed environment so we can deliver a consistent level of service. If an eligible website is currently hosted elsewhere, we migrate it as part of onboarding.
Is website migration included?
+
Standard migration into our managed environment is included with enrollment on an eligible Care Plan when the site meets standard criteria — a normal single WordPress install (WooCommerce OK), reasonable size, normal plugins/themes, standard DNS/SSL, and usable access. Potentially complex migrations (Multisite, very large media or Woo history, custom server dependencies, broken installs, difficult access, and similar) are reviewed and may be separately quoted. Website migration does not include email, mailboxes, or unrelated hosting services. Typically a usable WordPress admin login is enough; larger sites may also need (S)FTP. Normal Care coverage starts only after onboarding / migration verification.
When should I cancel my old hosting account?
+
Not until your website has been migrated, is running in our managed environment, and has been verified. Only then should you consider discontinuing the old account — and only if you do not still need it for unrelated services such as email or other websites. Never cancel your previous hosting before the migration is complete and confirmed.
Do you migrate email?
+
No. We do not host or migrate email. Keep Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or your current mail provider. Website migration leaves MX alone unless a written scope says otherwise.
Can WooCommerce be hosted with Rescue 404?
+
Yes. Eligible WooCommerce stores are hosted in the managed environment just like other WordPress sites, so store maintenance, backups, and troubleshooting stay with one care team.
How much website traffic can my site receive?
+
Managed hosting included with our Care Plans is designed for typical small-business WordPress and WooCommerce websites, and most normal sites never need to think about traffic limits. Hosting uses several kinds of resources together, and we manage them based on the reasonable needs of the sites under our care rather than a fixed public per-site quota. If a site starts using significantly more than expected, we review the cause and talk with you about the best path forward.
Are there storage or bandwidth limits?
+
We do not publish a fixed per-site storage or bandwidth number. Hosting is provided for typical small-business WordPress and WooCommerce websites, and most sites should never need to think about server resource limits. We monitor resource use as part of managing the environment and reach out if a site begins consuming substantially more than expected.
What happens if my website becomes very resource intensive?
+
We normally review the cause first and contact you so we can map a path forward together. Solutions can include optimization, database cleanup, image optimization, caching improvements, moving large media to an appropriate external service, or additional or higher-capacity hosting. Additional charges may apply when a website needs substantially greater resources than are reasonably included, and any recurring pricing change is discussed with you before it takes effect. If you have that many visitors, you are usually making enough that availability matters more than a usage meter — we still talk before anything changes. A site is not automatically shut off the moment it reaches some arbitrary number.
Can I use my hosting space for backups?
+
The hosting space is for operating your website, not general-purpose or long-term file storage. Backups that we create or manage as part of your Care Plan are handled separately through our designated backup systems and do not count against your website’s storage.
Can I store normal website images and downloads?
+
Yes. If a file is reasonably needed to operate your website or provide content through it — images, WooCommerce product photos, documents and downloads you offer visitors, and similar content — it can generally be stored there. An actively used, legitimate WordPress media library is website content. A folder of unrelated business files or backups is not.
Can I keep my existing hosting?
+
Standard Rescue 404 WordPress and WooCommerce Care Plans currently use our managed hosting environment so we can provide a consistent level of service. If you have an unusual technical, contractual, ecommerce, compliance, or business requirement that prevents migration, contact us before enrolling. We review unusual situations individually, but we cannot promise that an external environment will be accepted.
What about Shopify or Shift4Shop?
+
Hosted platforms such as Shopify, Shift4Shop, Squarespace, and Wix provide and control their own infrastructure, so they cannot be migrated into our hosting environment the way WordPress can. These websites may qualify for platform-specific Rescue 404 services, where we help with the parts of the site we can reasonably access and manage on a best-effort basis.
What happens if my website suddenly becomes very popular?
+
That is a good problem, and it is exactly why hosting is managed rather than fixed to a rigid quota. If traffic grows, we look at the cause and work with you on the right next step — optimization, additional resources, or a higher-capacity arrangement — and we discuss any recurring pricing change with you before it takes effect.
