WEBSITE HEALTH CHECK

Website health check — paid diagnostic before the next outage

If the site is still up but you distrust updates, backups, security, or hosting fitness, start with a Rescue Diagnostic. You get written findings, an optional repair quote, and a Care recommendation when prevention is the right next step.

Rescue Diagnostic: $175 (one-time) — Credited toward fix if you proceed. Not free. Not refundable.

THIS IS YOU IF

Site is up — confidence is not

Proactive assessment before the next white screen or failed backup.

  • Nobody has checked updates in months

Core, plugins, and PHP versions drift until the next fatal.

  • Backups exist — restore is unproven

Host snapshots or plugin zips you have never actually restored.

  • Security plugins scream; nobody triages

Alert fatigue with no written risk ranking.

  • Hosting feels slow or capped

Timeouts, 503s, or “upgrade your plan” emails without a real environment review.

  • You survived one emergency already

You want prevention, but you need facts before buying a monthly plan.

  • A buyer, partner, or designer asked for a technical readout

You need an honest stack assessment — not a sales PDF full of vanity scores.

WHAT WE DO

Findings first. Care second.

A health check is the paid diagnostic — not a free scan and not an instant monthly plan.

  • Structured diagnostic

Uptime posture, updates, backups, security signals, and hosting fitness — written findings you can act on.

  • Risk ranking

What can wait, what should be fixed soon, and what is already an outage waiting to happen.

  • Optional repair quote

If issues need hands-on work, you get fixed-scope pricing after the diagnostic — credited when you proceed.

  • Care recommendation when it fits

Prevention after you understand the risks — not a Care hard-sell to a stranger with no findings.

PROCESS

Assess → decide → optional Care

Repair and Care only after you understand the risks.

1

Request the health check

Open intake with site URL and what worries you. Prefer a dedicated Rescue admin for the review window.

2

Paid diagnostic ($175)

Investigation across WordPress and hosting context. Written findings — credited toward repair if you proceed.

3

Decide: repair, migrate, or monitor

Fix critical issues now, plan a hosting migrate if the environment blocks real maintenance, or enroll in Care when the site is stable enough.

4

Optional Care enrollment

Supervised updates, checked backups, and monitoring — after you know what you are preventing.

AFTER YOU ARE STABLE

Care after the assessment

A health check tells you what is fragile. Care is the retainer that acts on it every month — once the site is stable and hosting-eligible. We do not skip straight to selling Care without findings.

HEALTH CHECK FAQ

What you get — and what you do not

Paid diagnostic vs free scans, Care upsell timing, and site-down paths.

Is this a free automated scan? +
No. This is a paid Rescue Diagnostic ($175) with written findings. Free scanners miss hosting access, backup restore reality, and business-risk context.
How is this different from the shared-hosting health check section? +
The shared-hosting page includes a hosting red-flag checklist for cheap/shared environments. This page is the hire path for a full paid diagnostic across WordPress and hosting fitness — including sites that are not on shared hosting.
Do I have to buy Care afterward? +
No. Many owners stop at findings or a one-time repair. Care is recommended when prevention is worth more than another emergency — after you understand the risks.
Is the diagnostic credited toward repair? +
Yes. If you proceed with us on the quoted repair, the $175 diagnostic is credited in full. It is not refundable if you stop at findings. Full rules: Refunds & Payment.
What access do you need? +
Typically WordPress admin and cooperative hosting access. Prefer a dedicated Rescue 404 admin. Share passwords only via Password Pusher or One-Time Secret after we reply — never in the intake form.
What if the site is already down? +
Use Emergency Website Repair or Request Rescue with site-down urgency. A proactive health check assumes the site is still serving visitors.
