Frequently asked questions

Is a host backup the same as a plugin backup? +

Not always. Host backups may snapshot files and databases at the account level, while plugin backups often run inside WordPress with different exclusions, schedules, and storage targets. Treat them as separate recovery paths.

Should I restore over a live broken site? +

Prefer restoring to a staging copy or temporary directory first when possible. Restoring over production without a fresh pre-restore snapshot can destroy the only recoverable state.

No additional work will be performed without approval.
A backup should be created whenever access and website condition allow it.
